Year 6 Trip to Leeds Armouries

Year 6 had a fantastic time on their trip to Leeds Armouries last week. The children went on a self-guided tour of the museum as enrichment for their topic on the Shang Dynasty.

“I thought it was really cool because we got to see lots of weapons and armour. We watched a performance about how to fight and listened to someone talk about the terracotta warriors from ancient China.” Haroon 6KR

“It was very amazing to see all the artefacts as some of them were ancient. I liked seeing the models of armoured horses at the entrance.” Thomas 6KR
“I liked Leeds Armouries because we got to watch people act out a battle and I was given an opportunity to hold a sword! I also got to try on a helmet and gauntlets and I could see myself dressed up on a TV screen.” Safia
